Transition Santa Monica

i am a nomadic web monkey, activist and social entrepreneur. i am currently based in europe, where i travel between social centres, networking friends and activists, gatherings - while working on projects revolving around the internet service collective ecobytes. i drop my backpack, take out my laptop and unroll my mattrass whereever i find a suitable spot with welcoming hosts. if the setting is right i give workshops and presentations about free software, green computing and alternative web media technologies. i am also an active member of bevolunteer.org, the association behind bewelcome.org - a truely free hospitality exchange network (my handle there: "planetcruiser"). feel free to invite me to visit your project, i always like helping individuals and communities with their daily computer hacking needs in exchange for a roof for a few nights and a bit of food. :) i also currently doing research for a new project involving alternative currencies and community-based fund exchange.
